A young urban vixen who reared her five cubs all by herself, she was fortunate to have made her den in a fox guardian’s garden.
Wendy, a 75 year old animal rights activist, supported Patience with fresh food and water daily and made sure the cubs could grow up undisturbed.
We were fortunate to be invited by Wendy to film Patience with her cubs from four weeks after they were born right up until they dispersed. The trail cameras we mainly used allowed us to record intimate moments in this fox family’s life without disturbing them.
Wendy has recently spotted foxes mating in her garden. We hope that her wildlife garden will yet again be use as a fox earth this spring and summer.
