Violet is a daughter of Amelia and is the current queen of the cemetery. In  spring 2023 one year-old Violet gave birth to 4 cubs and a few weeks later her mum carried her own newborn cubs to the cemetery. We assume Amelia gave birth in a local garden, possibly under decking and was disturbed. Amelia was getting increasingly frail and struggling to rear her young.  First-time mum Violet stepped up and single-pawdly reared not only her own cubs but also all of her younger siblings–8 in total.  We supported her with supplementary feeding and 5 cubs are now healthy juveniles living with their mum at the prime foxy real estate that is the cemetery. Some cubs may disperse in the future.
